A tribute to charcoal.

Sexto is a testament to how cuisine can be both ancestral and modern at the same time, using charcoal, one of the first means of cooking known to mankind, as the cornerstone of its culinary concept. In this restaurant, Jhon Zarate, recognized as one of the best chefs in Colombia, applies his philosophy of simplicity and respect for the roots of each ingredient. Using few ingredients, meticulously selected for their quality and traceability, Jhon emphasizes purity of flavor and employs advanced techniques to enhance each dish, demonstrating that “less is more” in haute cuisine.

In an era where high-end cuisine is often saturated by complexity and excess, Sexto proposes itself as a bastion of simplicity and authenticity. The challenge was to design a space that not only offers meals, but educates and revalues charcoal as a symbol of our connection to nature and our culinary history, reflecting the cooking practices that have sustained civilizations over the centuries.

Sexto's branding is inspired by the essence of coal, not only as a fuel, but also as a cultural element. The logo design, which changes with temperature, symbolizes the transformation and energy that coal brings to the kitchen. The color palette, materials and typography evoke the texture and color of coal, complementing the culinary experience with a visual narrative that is consistent with the chef's philosophy. Each element of the branding reflects the importance of going back to the basics of cooking, highlighting the role of charcoal not only in Sexto, but in human culinary evolution.
